Scleral Contact Lenses
If you have been diagnosed with keratoconus or have an irregular cornea, and your viison with glasses is poor, you would most likely benefit from scleral contact lenses. These are gas permeable (hard lenses) that are large and rest on the white of the eye without touching the cornea. This creates a smooth surface in order for light to travel through and be focused more accurately on the retina. This means that we can acheive good vision with scleral lenses when glasses are no longer able to provide this.
Louise Solomon-Percil has over twently years experience in corneal condiitons, including laser eye surgery and its complications, and corneal conditions having worked in specialist cinics for both of these. We work closely with a corneal specialist ophthalmologist to ensure we provide you with the optimum service for your specific condiiton.
