We offer eye examinations in our office, or in the comfort of your own home or workplace
OPTOMETRY
Bèl Zyé provides comprehensive and personalised eye care. Our Optometrists are Louise Solomon-Percil and Marlynn Lendor-Burnett. They will examine your eyes for prescription glasses and contact lenses, they can take and analyse our various eye scans and imaging to ensure optimal eye health. Our Optometrist treat some eye conditions such as allergy and pink eye and can advise on vision-related issues as well as frames and optical devices.
Our eye examinations involve us checking your vision with and without glasses, determining your current glasses prescription, examining your eye health and eye muscle coordination and checking your eye presssure.
We also offer RETINAL PHOTOGRAPHY, VISUAL FIELD EXAMINATIONS AND OCT SCANS
These three tools complement each other beautifully:

RETINAL PHOTOGRAPHY shows what’s happening on the surface—like getting a snapshot of your eye’s structure. They detect early disease and help us to monitor changes

VISUAL FIELD EXAMINATIONS tell us how well those structures work—particularly in your side vision. Its a peripheral vision map, and uncovers hidden vision loss (e.g., in glaucoma)

OCT dives deeper—providing layered, internal analysis with precision. Its a layer-by-layer retina scan, diiagnosing deep structural changes early
Together, they form a comprehensive “eye health package”, especially critical if you have risk factors like:

A family history of glaucoma or macular degeneration

Diabetes or high blood pressure

Older age (where conditions like glaucoma rises in prevalence)

Neurologic symptoms (like headaches or vision changes)
Early detection = early treatment = better outcomes.
OPHTHALMOLOGY
Our Ophthalmologist is Dr Rodriguez. She is available at both practices and should be consulted for medical eye problems. Ophthalmologists diagnose, treat, and prevent disorders of the eyes and visual system through medical and surgical interventions. These include management of glaucoma, cataract, lumps and bumps around the eye, and ocular emergencies.
Should our Optometrists find any abnormality during your eye examination or on any of your scans, you will be referred to the opthalmologist to investigate further.
